On the road to Koudouma Monastery, which is situated on the seashore , deep under Asteriousa Mountains, south Crete. This very rough road passes elevation more than 1000m and wiews are unsurpassable....
Moni (monastery) Koudouma is located at secluded and virgin area of Crete. The monastery, dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, is hidden in a small sandy bay by the Lybian sea.
The church, which is partly built inside a cave, has been already renovated. During my last visit at June 2007 whole monastery was under intensive renovation, but by my opinion this renovation is very insensitive.
