Photographer’s Note

We visited a Devi temple last month at a place called Devi Kothi in district Chamba of Himachal Pradesh, India. We were a group of about a dozen people.
For the residents of that sleeply little village, we were a curiosity.
While we filed through the village, the children watched us from their houses.
I took this picture of two village girls quietly without getting noticed.
It is a candid portrait of these simple village girls.

A fine double portrait. I like the intense look on the girls' faces and their colours. The cropping is fine and the background works well.

Thank you for the picture of these two girls shot in such a remote place ; the dark background magnify the children... a perfect composition !
