[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Looking south-westish, across the narrows of Loch Duich north of Dornie at low tide. As Loch Duich is a sea loch I suppose you could argue that this is the Atlantic Ocean, about to scurry furiously back through this wee gap as the tide turns. The setting sun is to the right. The wee white spots are seagulls so you can get an idea of the distance that the water will rise to cover the seaweed on the far shore.
A b/w version is in the w/s. I'm not sure which is the better.

Hi Dougie.

Excellent framing !!!

A DREAM PLACE..
Wishes for a great WE.

Good use of the horizontal layers in this scene, and your composition works well, although I think I'd have placed the tree a bit further to the left.
The light, while nothing spectacular, has a nice subtle quality to it and contributes to the atmosphere of the image.
Good work - I like the simplicity of it. Tele lenses often work well in that regard.

Cheers,
Ben

Definitely prefer the colour version - in B&W you lose the subtle warmth of the light in the foreground.

Wow cool colors,
I prefer color version on this image.
The layers of different colors are amazing.
Gr8 Composition.
Congrats.
Thanks for sharing this.

Hi, Dougie,
I like the color one, too. I like the light across the rocks in the foreground with the color. The B&W looks so cold and desolate. The lines in this are really nice and I can't believe what great detail you got so near dusk. The colors are soft and more gentle than the starkness of the the other. Nice place, though. Looks like a nice spot to wander around. Well done!! Warm regards,
Shelly
