Photographer’s Note

Yeşilköy has a station on the Suburban train line Sirkeci-Halkali. The first Station was built in 1871, and contributed to its booming as resort.

Yeşilköy borders to the northeast the neighbourhood of Yeşilyurt, to the southwest that of Florya.

I took this photo on a Thursay evening at Yesilkoy. This beach is very convenient for enjoying the sunset view. After the end of september, it is not really possible to swim but instead people have long walks from Bakirkoy all the way to Florya. Yesilkoy lies just in between.
I was not there on the beach solely with the purpose of photography. But the birds rise to the occasion and I find myself taking their photos.

Merhaba Emre,
A very nice compo and very moody atmosphere. Somehow I feel it much "autumnal". The tones are wonderful.
It looks a bit tilted to the right, but I guess that such effect is caused by the curve of the shoreline.

when i am was there i live in Yesilkoy in some friends house....a real beauty place...and have some great houses too...the name before called Agios Stefanos...i remember the people in some houses they left the carpets from the front door in the street to pass the cars and after they cleaned with some water and the carpets was perfect!!!clever laundry way!!!...about the foto the pov and the light is superb.....giving a lot of various to the foto..!!!!

beautiful scenery, the golden color is very beautiful here, I liuked the soift shapes of the beach creating a nice curve and the birds adding life to this urban landscape.
