Scilla

| Scilla is a town in Calabria, Italy, administratively part of the Province of Reggio Calabria. Since its beach is the first place north of Reggio Calabria where the waters are not cooled down by the strait draughts, Scilla is very frequented during the summer period, including by people from neighbourhing towns and cities. It is the traditional site of the sea monster Scylla of Greek mythology. Scylla was once a beautiful nymph. The fisherman-turned-sea-god Glaucus fell madly in love with her, but she fled from him into the land where he could not follow. Despair filled his heart. He went to the sorceress Circe to ask for a love potion to melt Scylla's heart. As he told his tale of love about Scylla to Circe, she herself fell in love with him. She wooed him with her sweetest words and looks, but the sea-god would have none of her. Circe was furiously angry, but with Scylla and not with Glaucus. She prepared a vial of very powerful poison and poured it in the pool where Scylla bathed. As soon as the nymph entered the water she was transformed into a frightful monster with twelve feet and six heads, each with three rows of teeth. Angry, growling wolf heads grew from her waist, and she tried to brush them off. She stood there in utter misery, unable to move, loathing and destroying everything that came into her reach, a peril to all sailors who passed near her. Whenever a ship passed, each of her heads would seize one of the crew. |

Hi Francesco,
I really like those light yellow lila and peach tones on sky and water. Well framed picture with good mood. Large version reveals that your lens quality is not quite like on SLRs but such a large version shows everything quite unforgivingly.
Just lovely anyway.
Kari
Ciao Francesco,
The image is very good: the smoothness of the color and the format.
In way to improve it I have allowed myself to try a workshop in PS with the following adjustments: - Filter: Sharpening.
- Image-Hue/saturation: Saturation +11, luminosity -11,
these adjusts improves the contrast and the definition of the forms.
I hope be to you usefull.
Saludos,
Pepe
Hi Francisco,
Nice POV here, I like much these pastel colors, the sky is overexposed but it's well seen and done.
