Photographer’s Note

It was my last day on Gobi Desert, I was walking and make photos of dunes. In one moment I thought that I make "my mark" on sand ripplemarks, when I was doing photo I said to myself that I must be back in this beautiful place...

Very interesting "signature" on the desert. I've noticed that in this picture there are only 'sand ripples' and your footmark, without any other distraction as stones or plants. Was it difficult to find a piece of sand this way or is it common there? Very good idea.

Lovely in its simplicity. The colour and tone of this picture give a hint to the rich colours of the desert and the oblique level of the lighting gives a strong feeling of the texture of the sand.

The solitary footprint - mans mark on earth - in an ever changing landscape, soon to be covered over in the changing winds of the desert seems quite poignant.

Great imagination and execution.

Très belle photo. Vous avez laissée là une très jolie empreinte. On pourrait débattre sur le fait que le pied soit centré, mais l'essentiel n'est pas là. La définition, les couleurs et la composition formée par les lignes horizontales des ombres sont excellentes. toutes mes félicitations

When in the desert, I thought too to "leave" a footprint and to take a picture of it as if it would stay forever, like a proof I had been there. Everything is so immaterial in the desert, in perpetual movement. Your shot is very graphic through the lines and the colours. Greta shot !!!!!!!!

leaving your footprints in the sand. good idea. nice tones and shapes. Although personally I prefer it to be vertical shot. But that's just me.

It is a wonderful, rather unusual image with fantastic sharpness and fine soft light. However, I have one comments:
The black frame is a bad choice I think because it merges with the horizontal shadows on the sand. To make theis photo more stand out I would choose a white frame.
