Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken at Ouro Preto. City where the emperor used to stay when traveling to Minas Gerais, State of gold (all sent to Portugal... unfortunately).

There is a lot of churches around the city and there is gold all over their decoration. But, at this picture, the sun has made the external walls golden, too.

Olá Rico!
Uma foto muito bonita de uma das muitas Igrejas de Ouro Preto. A luminosidade ficou muito boa e suave, lembrando Ouro mesmo, só achei a foto um pouco inclinada pra esquerda, ou então a Igreja que é torta mesmo.

AH HA AH, Dei uma risada ao ler a tua nota que explica esta foto, achei engracado como dizes que o rei levava o ouro para Portugal, ok, nisso tens razao mas acho que o ouro nao ia para Portugal mas sim para a algibeira dele dado que hoje Portugal nao e muito mais rico que a 100 anos atras em comparacao ao resto da Europa mas contudo muito obrigado pela tua observacao, quanto a tua fot gostei muito, embora seja no Brasil sinceramente me faz lembrar uma terra alentejana, ou seja a regiao portuguesa do alentejo, por exemplo, Evora, Beja, sines ou ate Elvas, gostei muito da tua composicao, cor, posicao de vista e ate a mistura da verdura com as estruturas, muito simples mas profissional, parabens, tchau por agora e um abraco, Joao Paulo

Oi Rico,
Belíssima imagem em tons dourados. Essas igrejas decoradas em ouro são realmente fantásticas. Há uma em Salvador - São Francisco - acho, que também é riquíssima com seus detalhes em ouro.

Hello Rico,
This is a nice picture with some small problems for me. The first one concerns the yellow hue, I am not sure that it really works on this one because it is a shot im broad daylight.
Second I would like to have the verticals straight, because after all this is an architectural shot with many buildings and houses. Take a look a my workshop.
But I must say, that the angle of view which shows Ouro Preto and the church is fantastic.
