Photographer’s Note
This is a panoramic view of Charles Bridge, taken from the Old Town bridge tower (I'm sorry but TE doesn't allow me to upload the LP).
It is the famous historical bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. It is 516 meters long and nearly 10 meters wide, resting on 16 arches shielded by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter side and the third one on the Old Town side, considered to be one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, erected around 1700.
During the night Charles Bridge is a quiet witness of medieval times. But during the day it changes its face into a very busy place. Painters, owners of kiosks and other traders compete for the attention of numerous tourists crossing the bridge.

ciao

Hello Francesco.
An unusually 'narrow' shot giving this great view of the bridge. Your cropping really emphasises the length of the famous bridge. I like the great number of tiny figures walking on the bridge, in their many coloured jackets. You had good light on this January day. A nice shot.

Andrew

Ciao Francesco,
Bravo per questo panorama verticale molto originale e questa presa di vista in altezza del ponte Charles. Ciò permette di creare una lunga prospettiva ed una bella vista sulla zona di Mala strana.
Buona serata.

Hi Francesco!
It is a great idea to post a vertical shot that way. It fits with the POV. Maybe it would have been better to have a slightly larger picture. I also like the colors of the clothes people are wearing.
Best regards.

I like this, Francesco, the long and narrow vertical framing underlines the perspective of this very long bridge, and nice how the perspective is crowned by the St.Vitus cathedral...
Cheers

Ciao Francesco.
Good and original treatment of the perspective that gives to this image a great force. This is called "vertical panoramic".

Hi Francesco,
Wonderful point of view .. I love the way the thin vertical frame interacts with the bridge .. It amplifies the feeling of length and dimension tremendously .. I love the interaction of this ancient place with the life and color ... wonderful image.
take care,
John
