Ray Of Light Photo

Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in the caves of Beit Guvrin, as my former picture http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Middle_East/Israel/photo65714.htm.

I always facinated by those pictures of catching a ray that going thruogh a hole, I succeeded at last, the sun was in the right angle to poor its light into the cave, I didn't miss the oportunity and took several shots, this one is the best, I know that I need to improve, but I am happy to catch my first ray . . .

I used again shade WB to get worm tones, I hope you will like it.

Congrats on the first ray Elroyie! It's a fine shot with "divine intervention" atmosphere and wonderful rock texture and color. Well done!

I like it, simple but effective.
I like the rocky composition in addition to the "light".

I tried to catch sun rays many times, but I never got a perfcr catch like this one, Elroyie. The warm colors and light are wonderful. A great capture.

I have the impression that this ray of light is more impressive on the small picture than this one... but he still here and the colors are very good. Composition is perfect! Bravo!

Hola Elroyie: wow, is a beautiful cave, with great illumination, the captured golden tones are beautiful, with rich details of the relief, the sunbeam, is a bonus in the image, this light to seem to become sand that falls finely, I have a picture of the interior of the ray of light of a cave: Cave of the Sardine

Great result, Elroyie. The surface textures and color tones of the cave walls are wonderfully rendered, and the diagonal made by the beam of light is exquisite. Very good one.

Light and shadow is ultimately what this is all about. Here you capture a wonderful shaft of light against a beautiful backdrop of rock. The colors are warm as you wished and nicely rendered. And you crop the image so that diagonal shaft of light is the central element, corner to corner. This is very nice work Elroyie.

I have seen photos of Beit Guvrin (or what looks like Beit Guvrin), and have always wanted to visit- to see what I could capture.
Very nice and warm colors, sharp and clear.

You captured perfectly the ray and the projection of the floor is bright. Very contrasted picture but without excessive shades (as one may think in a a cave). The diagonale positioning of the ray makes a perfect shot.
