Hi Sasa...this is a really beautiful scene with amazing atmosphere. the light is great and what I like the most has to be the decorative framing here, very well seen and taken!!

What a grand view, Sasa! Ornate incarnate, tastefully rendered, in subtle shades of sepia and gold. The melding of dark shadows and gold is what is striking here, and that all important golden bokeh of the woman. I can almost hear the plaintive rings of Gregorian chant in the background.
A marvelous take.

God is in the details, someone said. Kirkegaard? But the Baroque details of gilded ages do make one wonder what's God got to do with it . . . Interesting. This photo reminds me of George's recent post of the Ford machine with the man barely discernable in the background. Perhaps a similarity. Humans lose their identities in the face of great systems of order. Hmm. Anyway, gold for the pious (in the afterlife anyway). That's an old formula that still operates, eh, Sasa? (Since there's almost never anything I can suggest to improve your immaculate conceptions, may I be so bold as to remark that in this shot you have at least three tiny white specks that could be corrected in a moment. On her shoulder, near her, say, wrist, and one below, just in the very bottom center of the frame between two gilded leaves.) Viszlát, -Hugh

This very poetic, excellent composition, rich burnished look to the colours. Reminds me of my grandparents and old musical instruments.

Hello Sasa. You have a view for unusual motives. The photo has artistic quality. Aesthetically and tendencyful. A benefit for the eye. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Sarolta,
Une très belle image colorée avec une belle ambiance ! J'aime bien le grain que donne la sensibilité que tu as choisi ! L'aspect doré de l'ensemble nous plonge bien dans cet univers baroque !
Bien vu !

Hi Sasa,
I did my churches last night - well, two that is - with the light art festival. Think you'd like it here right now, though the mood in one of the two churches had little to do with Gregorian chant recitals :-).
A very interesting point of view. Perhaps a slight bit too blurred in the background for me, but I also understand that you did not want to harrass the lady in your photograph by disturbing her one-on-one with God... Praying in itself has a mystical power to it, so in that sense the blur is surely justified.
Greetings!
Dennis

Strong atmosphere through the darkness and the warmth provided by the golden metal design. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more detail from the person in front of us, but it doesn't kill the image, as the emotion is so strong.

Hi Sasa,
Great, great job! The silhouette of the woman is straight out of a painting, and the ironwork, shown to such advantage, provides a beautiful frame.

Bonsoir,
Je trouve cette photo vraiment superbe, et d'une grande délicatesse. Ce qu'elle m'évoque, c'est recueillement et tristesse...

Brilliant! this woman in a blur, almost unreal while the golden wrought iron is well in focus and real, is a fantastic idea to render the solemnity this scene... Once again you are succesful at trying new paths to explore.;-)

Very beautiful dear Sasa. The way those baroque patterns frame the golden lady is very poetic. And the light... So simple, yet so full of dreams. Only you to produce such scenes.

Yes...We have both sinned, Sasa dear...
My rusty giant overpowered the humble man for whom the rusty giant was created to help him cultivate...
The frilled art of genuine wooden work - overpowered the humble human itself in your charming photo...
We are the photographers of NOT a free will, Sasa !
We use our education, our knowledge of art, our greed for the popular recognition and cheap thrill - to produce the things for show off...
Hey...People around !!!
Come and see how aristically inclined we are...
OUR POV is better than YOUR POV!!!
And then...
The worst happened...
They came... They praised... They awarded...
And NONE of them said:
Screw you, George !!!
Screw you, Sasa !!!

What's God got to do with it ???

Don't ask me...
I have sinned...
I've read Hugh' critique before I've written mine...

Have a sunny (and frilled) one, Sasa !

Ooh this is a tricky one, real magic. Not easy to pul off - focus smack on the filigree, old fella in the background blurred. hell of a picture, Sasa, and interesting to see you go from sepia's BW to a near monochrome gold approach ;o)It is all about gold, about barioque, about memories of gold and, yes.. (again!) teh Austro-Hungarian Empire...;o)
Great stuff,
Francis

Hi Sasa,
A wonderful picture.
All your composition is very subtile with the fantom of the women.
The golden tones are very nice.

The light, the gold, the filigree of the frame all magnificent, but the most touching and tender aspect to me sasa, is that you kept the woman and her prayers private. We do not disturb her thoughts.

Yes, respect for what you are portraiting... This is a superb photo Sasa, we are used to it with you, but this time you have handle the subject carefully. I´ve repeated many times I´m not a religious person, but I recognize in this photo my actitude toward those how need to believe. Take care Sasa.

Hello,
just to say that I love the composition with or without God:-) all those intricate curves in beautiful soft gold shining under the light, the blurred background and the praying woman. Or maybe she just wants a peaceful place to think, to close her eyes...whatever, the mood is subtle and conveys to each of us something...what we want to see in it as well.
Very beautiful.

Hi Sarolta,
I like so much the way you drive us to the dark center of the image, discovering there some character in some action...
The light and shadows play here is so effective, you made the proper "golden" frame to the scene with that lighted ornaments.
A great composition.
My compliments and best regards,
JM
