A big Sad Cat Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this one 2 weeks ago in the Lion Park near Johannesburg (http://www.lion-park.com/).
It was in the afternoon and this big cat was having a nap like all her friends. I don't know why she looked so sad, maybe was she just tired.

First time I was using a 300m lens. I wish I had that in Kenya. I just played with contrast and saturation in post-processing.

A nice picture. I'm reminded of the instruction that, when shooting animals, always make sure the eye is in focus, as it is here. Though I could wish you had used a wider DOF to get her back also in focus. Still, the background is properly blurred, and her expression, whatever it is, is poignant.

don't know much about taking a photo!!!
but i certainly like this one!!!
good timing, it is not easy to get a pose like that from a big cat!!!!!
