Photographer’s Note

This is a lucky shot of a begginer. Many thanks for all comments.

The photo was taken from the walls of Assisi. Unfortunatelly, as far as I can remember, the photo was taken without a tripod, so it is not as sharp as it should be. Generally the aim was to catch the linear and graphical form of this landscape and make an elegant, simple and well balanced shot.

What a good first post !
The lines of different colors and the contrast make an amazing graphism. Very well seen.
The trees are well placed to make the composition less flat.
Just a thing, an informative note is appreciated ;o)

welcome to Trekearth, Wiktor! excellent first post, the perfect geometry of the scene makes a beautiful composition, and the strong diagonal of the road nicely leads the eye throught the shot. fantastic colours and textures, but what I like most is the perfect placement of the trees in the upper right corner, just the accent you needed. very well seen and presented.

An excellent picture!
I like this composition very much and the colors are superb.
Nice detail in the different areas of grass and soil.
The trees in upper left are also perfect as an eyecather.
But where are the picture taken from? A tower or are you flying up in the air? :) The point of view is very good!

Hello, Wiktor, welcome to TE!

This is an excellent first post; it caught my eye immediately in thumbnail, and got better when I pulled it up. It's a great use of simple elements in strong colors and positions; it makes an abstract painting using only real objects.

We do need a note, though, and the technical data. Many people here will not comment on a photo, no matter how good. without that information. This is a learning site, after all.

Now let's see more of these!

a very excellent shot, well composed, good colors, ...
But, I would have made a different framing. I think it would be better if the diagonal line starts in the left corner.

Your picture strangely reminded of almost (but not quite!) abstract paintings by Spilliaert, a Flemish painter. I love it!
