Photographer’s Note

Die erste Erwähnung von Adnet erfolgte 741 in der Übergabeurkunde des bayrischen Herzogs Odilo an die Maximilianszelle in Bischofshofen. 1758 wird die erste Schule im Mesnerhaus eröffnet. 1856 wird Adnet eine eigenständige Pfarre. 1890 kommt es zu einem großen Brand in Adnet bei dem die Kirche, 6 Häuser und 14 Nebengebäude vernichtet wurden. Es wurde ein Schaden von 100.000 Gulden verursacht. Obwohl die barocke Einrichtung der Kirche nicht komplett zerstört war, entschloss man sich die Kirche komplett im neugotischen Stil wieder aufzubauen. 1909-1914 wird das Wiestalkraftwerk in Adnet gebaut. Dadurch entstehen viele neue Arbeitsplätze und Adnet wird an das Stromnetz angeschlossen. Nach 1945 wurde Adnet zu einer Wohngemeinde und die Anzahl der Einwohner verdoppelte sich.
Adnet, a town in Austria, is a community of 3.324 people, located near Hallein, Salzburg (state). It is famous for its marble and there is a marble museum in the middle of the town.

It is a very beautiful view of the Austrian countryside. The different levels of colours gave the picture an excellent sense of depth. I like the way how the very low cloud in front of the background mountains blend with the sky towards the right side of the picture. Well done.

Hallo Georg,
prachtvolle Aufnahme, der Streifen des Bergzugs hinten nimmt sich schon in der Vorschau toll aus. Wundervoll klare trotz des Wolkenbandes mit einer herrlichen Sicht auf den Ort. Mit den Häusern sind die Berge gut ausbalanciert und die kraftvollen Farben des Vordergrunds passen einfach. Die Note ist eine schöne Ergänzung.

Wow ... what a capture. The low lying clouds creates a very pleasing depth to the image. Beautiful village and surrounding landscape.
