Photographer’s Note

We stayed for a few days at Muir Camp before heading up the popular Muir/Disappointment Cleaver Route to Mt. Rainier's 14,411-foot summit. This is the Ingraham Glacier before us. It is treacherous. The folds of glacial ice and crevases create a maze of obstacles. We had to use ladders to cross crevases that were hundreds of feet deep. Very exciting...and we did make the summit that day.
