A pleasing mix of tones and textures in this interesting composition. I like the point of view and juxtaposition between house and mountain. Very good natural tones and fine clarity.

Hello Jonathan,such good sharp detail of the building in the fg and the St. Victoire mount in the bg.Lovely textures captured.The heat of the summers day really comes across.
I studied Art, and I always remember looking at the paintings of Cezanne and marvelling at his many versions of this place.
Wonderful shot.
I enjoyed looking at the 'snail' pictures in the w/s too, well done.

Même si je trouve que le cadrage est un peu serré, j'aime bien, on a une vrai ambiance, avec la profondeur de champs ad hoc !

Bonjour Jonathan,
Cézanne n'aurait pas dénigré ton image qui est superbe et bien composée.
Au sujet des escargots, en Languedoc, ces petites bêtes sont parfois consommées et sont appelées localement des cagaroulettes.

Hello!
C'est une image interessante et qui se demarque assez de ce qu'on voit en general du coin. Tu as su te servir a merveille de l'esthetique du mas provencal ainsi que de la beaute de la Sainte Victoire a l'arriere. Pour les escargots, c'est ce qu'on appelle en Languedoc des Cagaraoulettes (pas tres sur de l'orthographe): facile a ramasser et excellent avec une vinaigrette ou un aioli... Il faut juste faire attention a la periode car pendant certains mois, leur coquille abrite des vers peu ragoutants...

Hi Jonathan, I like the mood of loneliness and solitude of this one. Great DOF with the mountain very clear and imposing. This house is the kind of place each one of us probably would like to buy and restore and live happily with a cat, a donkey and a few olive trees. Good work! Regards,
