Photographer's Note

From the annual Pushkar camel fair, an event you should see once, and maybe just once. On the plus side, nomads, gypsies, and camel herders from across Rajasthan congregate for a week of diversion and business with abounding photo opportunities for tourists and tips for the begging joghis and gypsy 'models'. Negatively, it's become such a circus of Indians and foreigners alike, that finding a simple, working photographic composition is even more of a challenge than when the town is quiet. One Indian photographer remarked, "More Canons than camels..."
