Photographer’s Note
I am amazed by rice terraces in Asia which always appear to have been carved in hills and mountains. I have visited the rice terraces of Bali, Vietnam, and the Philippines and someday, I'd like to see the terraces of China.
This is one of the many rice terraces in Sagada, part of the Cordillera Mountain range in the Northern Luzon in the Philippines. These terraces are man-made and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Cordillera’s rugged mountainous backbone contains many peaks exceeding 2,000 meters in height, with rolling hills and stretches of river valleys along its flanks. The Cordillera is both the highest and the single largest mass of mountains in the entire Philippine archipelago.

Hello Danilo,
It is amazing to see how the rice terraces have become a natural part of nature!
As shown in the image they don't appear to be manmade, it is more like they have been there for ever...
Good point of view to show the scenery, fine details and rich attractive colours!

Hi Danilo,
That is a fine POV on the terraced and jungle covered hills, good sharpness and framing. The weather didn't help you with sunlight.. so i tried to revive the colors a bit... see WS, and hope you don't mind... ;D

Hello Dan,
I had visited this place possibly 20 years ago ... must have changed a lot by now. If you think of the work they have to do to carved out these terraces, it is quite amazing feat. Wonderfully captured and presented. Same as you I'm just going through my old photos ... brings back good memories. Well done! tfs and have a nice weekend.
Cheers,

Hi Danilo,
great view of the rice terrace. It's a nice and friendly combintation of nature's beauty with human's work. I like to see the sinuous lines and the green around. This is the prove we can live in peace with nature, taking advantage of what it can offer to us. Very good work!

Hi Danilo,
I especially like the sunlight on the hillside and the mosaic pattern made by the flooded fields in the lower right. I agree with the comments that the amount of work to build these fields makes them fascinating. I also like Carlos comment about teaching us that 'we can live with nature.'

The usual photo of Sagada usually are close close-ups of the terraces. Your version is terraces embraced by the mountains.
This is definitely 1 of the places in my list this year.

Hi Danilo,
interesting view on those man made patterns in the green hills. Looks like somebody has tasted a bit from the hill ;-) The inclusion of the needles help for depth.

Hello Danilo,
nice composition with great perspective and POV.Really is an amazing and at the same time an interesting scene of these carved hills and mountains.I like the colours and the light that falls on.I imagine that the terrace cultivation in these altitudes must be very difficult.Informative your note too.

Hi Danilo
I like these compositions with the many patterns. I think I would have boosted the contrast a bit to remove the haziness.
