Photographer’s Note
The photo was taken in the Main Universal Store (GUM) of Minsk, between two floors in the stairway. This building is not so huge and famous as the one in Moscow. Even the shops are not so luxurious, so from inside it rather looks like a flea market. Those people in the picture are also trying to sell some small things on the ground. My hope is that this photo conveys the very special atmosphere one can find there.
