Photographer’s Note

Køge is a town in Roskilde County on the east coast of the island of Zealand in east Denmark. Koge is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Denmark. It was founded by royal orders, close to the coast and with a regular street system round a large central market square. The town was granted an municipal charter in 1288 and fortified with ramparts, moats and large town gates. Around year 1400 Køge had become an enterprising commercial centre, and over the following 250 years it developed into one of the leading market towns on Sealand. No other town has got so many well-preserved half-timbered old houses and medieval cellars as Køge, and in Kirkestræde you will find Denmark´s oldest house with a date on it (1527). Today, Koge is once again an active commercial centre and port, with an extraordinarily well-preserved city centre, created by visionary people more than 700 years ago.

You know more about Køge than I do... :)
Excellent capture of this old house supporting your note well.
The lines in the roof combined with the two spires gives a very fine composition.
The deep blue sky just enhances my longings for summer.

Le passé médiéval du Danemark est très important, tes photos nous le font découvrir un peu plus à chaque fois. Tu as choisi un bel échantillon d'architecture bien mis en image avec le soin et la qualité habituels.

Belle photo de cette petite maison avec ces tuiles rouges et son toit de forme arrondie sur le dessous, bon POV, bonnenetteté, bel ensemble avec de très jolies couleurs.

Ah oui beau mélange d'architecture,avec les tuiles on se croirait dans le sud de la france et avec la façade,en normandie.Bel accors de couleurs avec le ciel,le tout bien exposé.

This is really impressive builders' work in fine craft, such details in great workmanship, and well maintained.

Superb sharp details in good light condition to highlight not just the roof, walls or windows, it is all about historical methods of building work.

Désolée mais ça fait déjà un petit bout de temps que je regarde cette photo et malgré les louanges unanimes des membres de TE, cette photo me chiffonne un peu.
La luminosité, les couleurs, l'architecture, tout ça me plait beaucoup.
Mais j'ai vraiment l'impression que la photo est penchée et je n'aurais pas mis tant de ciel.
Du coup, j'ai essayé de faire quelques modif sur Gimp mais ne suis pas plus satisfaite! Tant pis, je suis minable!

Bonsoir Jonathan,

Une belle image de cette vieille maison qui a bien été préservée. La prise de vue permet de voir les différentes composantes de son architecture. Elle reçpoit une bonne luminosité ce qui fait ressortir les couleurs. Le sujert est bien cadré. Bonne soirée.

J'ai tenté un WS sur ShiftN, mais je perds un peu de champ, c'est pour cela avant d'utiliser ce logiciel je prévois un cadrage plus large.
On se croirait quand même dans l'Est de la France.
