Photographer’s Note

walking through an "untrodden" market among local population in Udaipur my eyes were caught by these spicies......so I want you to look at these colours and think about how Indian food can be...sooo spicy!
(but excellent and tasty as well!)

The colors are what attract the eye to this picture. However, only one the spices is in focus. A smaller aperture (larger f number) would have given a better depth of field.

Hello Silvio,

Nice and colorful view. At the opposite of the criticism already given, I like the use of the wide aperture to put in focus just the foreground. It allows to play more on the impact of the colors.

Spices displays are a very interesting subject in countries like Morocco or here India, the variety of colors we can see on your photo is nice but I think I'd prefer the focus to be a little bit closer and you could get rid of this ugly plastic bag, which I did in the WS.

Forse un tantino di focus in più non sarebbe guastato, ma l'immagine resta cromaticamente piacevolissima. Il giallo in fondo potrebbe essere zaferano, il rosso forse peperoncino ( di quelli da estintore )però il giallino in primo piano non riesco ad indovinare cosa sia. Se ne hai portato a casa fammi sapere che roba è. Ottima idea nel fotografare queste spezie, anche questi sono i colori dell'India...

Ciao Silvio,
Nice mixture of colors, the strehgth of red catches your eye, but you turn tour sight inmediately to the very well sharpened cream spice on the right. Very original shot! :)
