Photographer’s Note
The sun had disappeared from sight at least 15 minutes before taking this shot. I've learned never to leave a sunset as soon as the sun goes down. If there are clouds in the sky, they can be lit with the most beautiful and intense colours as much as 30 minutes after actual sunset.

Hi Robin,
This is a stunning shot - I quite agree that it is worth waiting until after the sun has set for pictures like these.
If there was a way to improve this image, it might be to crop the picture to a panoramic format to lose the crescent moon (which is just slightly distracting). But this is minor - I wish I had taken it.
