Photographer’s Note

Ce soir la le ciel était nuageux et je me suis dit, a mon avis le coucher de soleil devra être plus jolis que hier ou le ciel etait complètement degagé,mon estomac criait famine, il était l' heure du repas, mais j' ai bien fait d' attendre, le spectacle était au rendez vous, le ciel s' est embrasé sur 'la Goméra 'et j' essaye de le partager avec vous.
J' espère que vous aimerez cette prise que dame nature nous a offert.

Bonjour, Thomas. Un ciel splendide avec des nuages qui dans le lointain sont embrasés par le soleil couchant tandis que ceux de l'avant-plan ont déjà la couleur de la nuit. Les contrastes sont bien marqués et donnent beaucoup de punch à la photo. Un petit navire aurait peut-être été le bienvenu pour un peu meubler l'espace marin.

Bonjour Thomas,

Très jolies couleurs, vraiment. Par contre, c'est vraiment dommage savoir laissé les zones sombre, presque noir, que l'on peut apercevoir sur la gauche et la droite.

Sans cela, je pense que la photo aurait été plus intéressante.

Le ciel prend une bonne place dans cette photo et tant mieux car les nuages sont très beaux à voir.

This is what I call a "God Shot (Photo)". The fantastic clouds and ocean bathed in beautiful, somewhat muted colors makes me think of the movie "The Ten Commandments" when Moses was asking God to part the Sea Of Reeds (I never know how I am going to react from photo ot photo). Your fantastic image has a feeling of "Godlike" forces at work and we mere mortals are just here to enjoy the view. Very powerful and provacative seascape of the power and beauty of nature!

this one is just WOW. What a sky! I like this majority of layers of clouds. Due to your altitude the horizon is allready between them, with most vivid and colourfull pallette of colours. In comparison to it the sea looks like a most calm and quiet surface. It is hard to decribe this natures beauty otherwise than with: WOW. :)

je crois que ta décision de retarder le dîner a été très réussie, le résultat de cette photo nous l'indique parfaitement. Elle est superbe!
Le spectacle de ces nuages en brûlant dans le ciel du coucher de soleil, ses couleurs, sa lumière, et ses éclats sur la mer, est impressionnant et très, très beau.
Pour obtenir cette photo merveilleuse même il aurait valu la peine de ne pas dîner.
Un travail très beau et bien réalisé, mes félicitations.

C'est vrai qu'il aurait été sympa d'avoir un bateau ou quelque chose au premier plan pour dynamiser un peu l'image, un couple de dauphins sautant hors de l'eau aurait bien fait l'affaire :o)

Ce coucher de soleil est spectaculaire et impressionnant, il donne des couleurs spéciales au ciel et à la mer. La prise de vue donne de la profondeur à la photo. La phoro est claire et précise. il y a un bon contraste entre les couleurs. Bonne soirée.

You waited well beyond your dinner time to get this excellent picture. The sky is dramatic beyond words & the sea merges into the almost horizonless BG. Superb colour tones and graphics created by the clouds. Wonderful!

You've proven that the sunrise AND the sunset are the best times for great photogrphy.

Hi Thomas, incredibel beautiful sky you catch. The colors are surreal and I love the DOF. Personaly i would crop a bit of theleft to get the black spot out.

fantastic sunset, and very unusal colours, I like a lot the strong purple cast. I see that there's already a very good WS that addresses the problem I was about to comment - the dark shades on the sides. other than that - a view well worth to postpone the dinner :)

Les couleurs sont incroyablement chaudes! Le filtre doit y être un peu pour quelque chose. Mais pas autant que le coup d'oeil.
La finesse du détail m'impressionne et le grand angulaire donne du volume et une dimension bien plus importante à l'esemble.

Superbe coucher de soleil, excellent contraste et bonnes couleurs. J'aurais coupé le petit bout sombre sur la gauche mais c'est pas grave, c'est une superbe photo ;)

Fantastic capture of a fantastic sunset. Those colors and the detail in the clouds are fabulous. However, you've got some wicked vignetting, I can only assume from a Cokin filter holder, on either side of the frame. A simple crop would have made this image perfect. Good job though.

Tu ne nous dis pas si tu as retravaillé l'image au niveau des tonalités! De toutes façons, ce coucher de soleil est superbe, comme on en voit rarement dans sa vie sans doute! Le ciel s'est embrasé et a illuminé tous ces petits nuages qui semblent danser la farandole! Mais les parties non encore illuminées , bleu profond en haut et argent dans le bas, donnent un bel effet de contraste!
Quant à la mer d'huile,ou de cuivre? elle forme aussi un beau contraste avec la fournaise d'au-dessus.
Bravo pour cette capture. Cela valait en effet la peine d'attendre! J'espère quand même que tu n'as pas eu trop de crampes d'estomac!
