Wow, Stella, this really is a dramatic sky!
Sometimes we see skies like this but they never look as good on the photograph! This is the exception!

I love how you have captured the suns rays shooting down to earth and illuminating the b/g clouds with a range of wonderful colour tones! Superb!

Hi Stella,

I am really drawn to these frame filling images lately. I think I am becoming a bit saturated with the near/far composition we all love so much. I find this refreshingly simple yet dramatic. The rays of sun, the silhouetted horizon and the dramatic clouds make this for me a very wonderful study in tones.

now this trully is amazing sky! Clouds opened just enough to create this marvelous show with curtain of rays. Light is fantastic so is the dramatic visual impact. This must have been overwhelming experience. Excellently captured most beautiful work of nature.

Hello Stella,

I have been so very busy with the finishing touches on the book that I have not had a chance to look at TE. I missed the spectacular sunburst effect that you shot and submitted last week. It's a source of inspiration, and indeed it is thought that precisely this sort of sunburst effect inspired the ancient Egyptians in civilization building. Imhotep, sage/physician/grand vizier to King Zoser to began on course toward urbanization — by unifying the different tribes of Egypt — with a public works project, by mobilizing and building a pyramid in the shape of a starburst. It was also at a time signaling the beginning of the worship of Ra, the Sun God. An ephemeral moment beautifully captured!

Belle photo de ce superbe éventail laissé par cette trouée dans les nuages.
Jolies couleurs et bel effet de ces rais, celle ci aussi je l' aprécie beaucoup, ce qui ne veut pas dire que les autres ne sont pas apréciées, mais il faut bien choisir.
