Photographer’s Note

Sometimes we photographers simply think and fiddle around with our equipment too much. The hard and cumbersome way is not always the best way to photograph our travels. This interesting closeup of New York City's famous Times Square was a very simple shot to take. It wasn't exactlty a "point and shoot" moment, but all I had to do was to compose, check the exposure and shoot. I wish all photographs were this easy to take.

I was simply amazed and fascinated with this world-class city and my wife said that I looked like a goofy "golly, gee" looking "hick" from the West when I was observing all of the sights and sounds of New York City. I told her that I am a Western "hick" and I simply didn't care. This great city was the most energetic and fascinating urban environment that I have ever been to. The dazzling and deliberately overdone Madison Avenue adverstising here was a sheer delight for my eyes. Don't tell any of my "cowboy" friends, but I love New York City!
