Prayer flags in Tibet.

Prayer flags are colorful panels or rectangular cloths often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks high in the Himalayas to bless the surrounding countryside or for other purposes. Unknown in other branches of Buddhism, prayer flags are believed to have originated with Bön, which predated Buddhism in Tibet. Traditionally they are woodblock-printed with texts and images.

an amazing shot! Wonderful composition, brilliant colors, incredible depth!
But the most beautiful thing is the feelings that this shot insipres me: I can feel the wind trough my hair, and I can breathe the pure air of this faraway land!

Hi Jerzy,

The way the movement of the clouds interacts with the wind in the flags is powerful .. the tone of the sky is wonderful .. the vastness out from the strong foreground is great .. and the way the empty Earth amplifies the colors of the flags and visa versa is tremendous .. wondrous.

Nie było mnie kilka dni i nie wiedziałam, że są nowe zdjęcia z Tybetu. Bardzo dobre zdjęcie. Ładne chmury, góry, i oczywiście te flagi unoszące modlitwy do nieba. Bardzo mi się podoba.

Trochę się naoglądałem Twoich zdjęć i długo myślałem, jak Twoją twórczość podsumować.
Piszę akurat pod tą fotografią, ale mógłbym gdziekolwiek.
Wygląda mi na to, że jesteś Louisem Vuittonem TE. :)
Twoje fotografie są jak portfel od LV, jak piosenki Sade, jak tylna kanapa w Bentleyu Continental.
Ty po prostu produkujesz towar luksusowy. :)
Jakość, jakość i jeszcze raz jakość. Mało jest tu autorów fotek równie doskonałych technicznie.
Serdecznie gratuluję Ci poziomu, do którego będę starał się w następnych latach równać.

PS: A samo zdjęcie? Co tu pisać? Kolorowe szmatki na wietrze?:) No właśnie... Za kolorową szmatkę w pewnych miejscach w Mediolanie czy Paryżu trzeba zapłacić krocie... :)
