Sitting at Barrack Point, looking north towards Warrawong and Wollongong - I was lucky to snap this photo of a Gull.

Hi Mark.
Can't imagine why no critiques for this dramatic shot. I think it's a very good capture, and the sharpness is adequate, considering that it must have been hard to get good focus under the circumstances. The wave looks dynamic and towers over the bird. I like the lighting, especially the way the sun is glinting on the wet rocks. An interesting shot.

Hi Mark, I've seen lots of shots of gulls, and by those standards, this is a good shot. What makes it great is that breaking wave over the rock in the background, with fantastic real looking colour and good sharp detail. Nicely done.

An exceptional capture. Wave or bird alone would be good but together they make this a fine composition.

Looks like this has not been image processed at all. Overall the image is a little flat and colors are slightly weak. Just a little post processing and color noise reduction would correct for what the camera failed to record. :)

This is an exceptional composition and deserves the attention.

Not very easy to capture a such picture but you did it very well. maybe you can increase contrast to improve the picture.
anyway a beautiful shot.

I may not be able to capture this, but you did it. Congrat Mark. Readiness is what each photograper must have in themselves. Without it we may miss many special moments or events.

Mark, great feeling of the sea in this one, it has the sense of power which to me is ever present in big water. Your colors are awesome and the top blowing off is superb. Great shot.
