Photographer’s Note
High above the smog at 1100 meters but not far away from Kingston lies Strawberry Hill, a paradise full of birds and orchids, on the southern slopes of the Blue Mountains.
Strawberry hill is a Hotel/restaurant owned by the owner of Island records. The views and food are fantastic and Bono and Mick Jagger are regular guests.

Hi Gerrit,
colorful and attractive view! I like to see all those leaves on the foreground as the invistation of what we would there there on the back. Beautiful luminosity, specially on the the banana leaves. Great work!

Hi Gerrit,
the hanging leaves and the good light on the foreground plants are are warm and a welcome impression. Wide view on the landscape, the light was difficult I guess by the clouds.

Dag Gerrit,
The sight is very nice. Wild vegetation completes your harsh contrasted frame very well. Good POV with banana trees, very nice.

Bonsoir, cher Gerrit,
Une très belle prise de vue depuis une percée végétale. Une très belle image qui pourrait faire l'objet d'une peinture à l'huile tant la beauté de l'ensemble est présente.
Très belle réalisation.
Amitiés.

Hi Gerrit
A superb high vantage point, with excellent sharpness & colour. Good use of the fg vegetation, as a framing device. I like the subtle sunset colours on the horizon. Tfs!

Gerrit,
a VERY nice composition with those plants hanging down and framing the view. The light is quite challenging and difficult to manage. It seems that the high contrast of light would be a good reason to use HDR.

Hi Gerrit,
Je hebt een prachtig punt gevonden met dit uitzicht over het zeer mooie landschap. Uitstekende voorgrond ook met de struiken, bomen en die hangende takken als framing. De kleuren zijn heel prettig. Mooi werk!

Hello Gerrit,
A view that is certainly worthy of rockstars! What makes this image unique in my opinion are the hanging vines and the outline of those curled leaves. This landscape very much reminds me of the more hilly sections of Phuket. The bright colours of the banana leaves are a good contrast with the darker shadowy foliage to the left and right. Is the smog from traffic and pollution, or is it a more natural phenomenon derived from fires? I would not consider Kingston a large enough city to produce so much air pollutant? This is a great outlook, thanks for the post!

Hello Gerrit,
clin d'oeil sur une végétation peu répandue en Europe, je dirais même inexistante. Un ciel bien blanc et des lumières fort claires surexposant certaines zones, c'était l'occasion d'essayer un filtre P121 par exemple.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hola Gerrit.
Nice view from 1100 meters above Kingston City, a nice tropical scene captured from a high POV. Great colors and natural frame. Hope you don't mind doing some crops in a WS, as I said your shot is very good, it's just to see how it looks cropping half of the left tree and the baranda below
Well done.
TFS.
Best regards.
