Photographer’s Note
Interrupting my series of Lisboa and Constancia to present you my first try with reflections on ground.
The scene you see was taken in Arraiolos and the part of the building you see is Arraiolos city hall.
Arraiolos is a small town belonging to Evora district, with about 3500 inhabitants.
Arraiolos wouldn't me more than one more little town of Alentejo if it wasn't by the tapestry made there, which are world famous.
Also interesting is the round castle which dominates the hill and the view of the surroundings, although it's very badly treated or untreated...
Also interesting is a walk around the streets of the town, very typical from Alentejo with white houses bordered by blue lines on each wall border, and also to watch how slow life seems to flow around.
Hope you enjoy this one, more photos to come!

Hi Paulo,
Excellent visual pun, with reflected image very vivid and well lit. The man walking on the street seems to be a funambulist, walking on a grid of tightropes.
Colours are intense with strong contrasts, creating a high impact.
Cheers!

Hi Paolo,
very well done! Often photos with reflexions are used when people are running out of ideas, but not in your case. Ir really looks like a glass ceiling rather than a reflection - great!

Oi Paulo, great composition, and good combination of blues. It would have been better without the circular metal things on the ground, but anyway it looks nice. Well done... congrats! chau chau,

Hi Paulo, when I first saw the thumbnail I thought you had taken the shot through a strange glass roof - it was not till I read your note that realised it was a reflection.
Beautifully strong, vivid colours & some excellent lines created by the cracks between the paving stones. Almost a surreal quality to it with the slightly strange stance of the man.
Lovely piece of work, Roberto

Hi Paulo, first thanks for the time you took to write me a very interesting comment, i will try what you suggested me to do in my next shots and shooting sessions.
What can i say on this picture ? This is really great ! You used this wet floor perfectly and light is georgeous, i love the placement of this man just on the low of the frame, kind of sureal and yet a very artistical picture.
All my congratulations

Paulo,
These blue and white colors aren't present often in your gallery :o)
A superb catch, I like a lot the abstractness of the image, and the good geometrics balance.

This is great, I like that you placed it upside down, would have been even better if there wasn't the dry spot in the bottom though.
Great colors and clarity.

Bravo!

Hi Paulo!
There is nothing more to do than becoming impressed by this one. Reflections on ground are a well known genre, but such perfectionist, minute cadrage, excellent compo of graphics and colors, and even a walking figure, are really hard to find in one combined. I think this is one of the best contributions to this genre in TE. Congrats,
Deniz

Hello Paulo, this went to my favs theme. Superb composition with something oniric created by the man walking, the diagonal of that white building that contrasts beautiful with the gorgeous deep blue sky. Also the blue lines remind of the blue of the sky. The pattern adds to this feeling of real/unreal. Great sharpness and clarity too. Superb !

ricardo

it doesn't seem to be a first attempt to capture reflections on the ground. It is perfectly performed, very attractive one, with very good light control and razor sharpness. Excellent work'

Ola Paulo
A delightful way to show us the world, yes reflections are always interesting & to present it downside up makes it so very interesting. Actually the deep blue of the sky (reflections) create a magnetic eye puller here, contrasting with the white of the buildings. The man is so important in the picture as well.Technically perfect & visually striking!
Best Regards

Fantastic composition and superb rendering. The shiny pavement gives a superb reflection of these white facades and the guy passing by is idealy placed.
Great work!
