Photographer’s Note
From a distance, the Lotus Mahal appears as an almost massive, solid structure. It is only on closer inspection that the viewer realizes how airy and light it really is. Both Islamic and Hindu influences operate on what is arguably one of the most beautiful structures at Hampi. I was fortunate to be able to make use of the available sunlight to bring out the incredible warmth of the stone.
