Photographer’s Note
This young eucalypt clings to life against the skyline in the Avon River gorge near Bell's Rapids. The blue of the sky reminds me of the title of the iconic Australian C&W ballad "Hey True Blue" penned by John Williamson, although the lyrics of the song and meaning of 'true blue' really refer to 'a steadfast loyal Australian who displays the Aussie ideals of a fair go for all, mateship, having a go, and solving problems'.

Hello Jeff,
John Williamson is a good musician, our family used to listen to CD's of his as we traveled by 4WD around Australia. It seemed to enhance the trip. This shot really provides a glimpse of the absolute harshness and unique beauty of the Australian landscape, and the struggle for survival. Great job.
