Hi Ryan
A well known bridge already, as you say, but this is a fabulous shot. You've achieved a perfect blue hour balance in lighting, and the reflections are really stunning. Good wide angle shot full of depth, colour and detail.

Hi Ryan,
Beautifully composed at the perfect time of day. That reflection is stunning and the slight breeze kissed area does not detract at all. I might not have noticed it had you not mentioned it in your note. The most important reflection is the bell tower which is pristine.
Cheers!

Hi, Ryan. The perspective is very good here with the two rows of houses on either sides of the river. I also like the nice contrast between the dark sky and river and the well lit houses and bridge. The zillion and first happens to be a good one ;o).

Hello Ryan,
It's always nice to see Ponte Vecchio in different perspective then usual.
I like your choice for a wider angle here allowing like this to have the margihal houses reflections on water.
I like also the contrast between the golden tones and the darker tones of sky and water.
Very good photo!
Cheers.

Hi,
I visited Florence many years ago, it is a wonderful town, especially this very famous bridge. The point of view you chose is very good and gives a good depth of field. The colours are very nice, as are the reflections on the right.

Hello Ryan,
great blue hour shot. I love that the perfect mirror like reflection changes in the wind or stream blurred part. Very nice off centered composition.
I wish you a nice Sunday evening.

Hi Ryan!
Good photographers you can see latest when they make night shots. And this one is a great photo.
Looking through your gallery I did not need to hesitate to make you as one of my favorites.
I like you style a lot and the way you express yourself in your photographies.

Hi Ryan
I know this bridge has been posted alot (I haven't though because the light was bad) but not many photos of it are of good quality. Yours is a lovely blue hour shot and the stormy sky really creates a dramatic atmosphere. The reflections in the river are pretty too.

Hi Ryan,
here you really got a magic moment... the light gust of wind broadening the reflection of lights is a surplus.

Hi Ryan,
I just can say "woooww". Superb night shot. I was there and I had the chance to take a shot of that but I confess that your photo is what I expected from mine and the result I got is far from what you present. Very fine light management e details. A great work!

Hi Ryan,
It's a good thing you are mentioning there isn't camera distortion, because the illusion is strong. The curvy reflections influence the perception of the bridge, as it looks a little bit twisted. This kind of visual effect happened to me as well, but because of the point of view and perspective, the hallucination is highly perceivable.
The reflection on the right side is crystal clear and so is the sharpness of the buildings.
Excellent timing with great cloudy sky for enriching textures.
Viva la blu ora!

Hi Ryan,
Very bright in the middle on the bridge, maybe 1 stop to much, but the overal exposure and especially on the right side is amazing, just as the reflection in the water. Those clouds add a second nice detail to it, wonderful.

Very nice example of how to do this type of shot. The exposure is just right, with the lighting on the bridge and the buildings bright but not blown out, and the sky retaining just a little bit of colour. Beautiful!

Ryan, it's funny that you wrote this particular critique on my shot yesterday because when I saw this one yesterday afternoon, I told my self the exact same thing... I was totally unable to come up with a decent shot of Florence, which is one of the most beautiful place I've seen so far. And in my case, it has nothing to do with weather. I was just unable.
I like the triangle formed in the water with the bottom of the frame, the reflections of the buildings on the right and the reflections of the lights. In the middle of the triangle, very clearly, we see the moody blue sky. For me, all the power of your picture lies in that triangle... The rest, we've seen many times, although yours is so clear, it's frightening!
All the best!
Marc

Proof that rainy days need not be a total loss, the upside down V shape reflection caught my eye first, probably that part was not affected by the wind, as the right side is perfectly reflected, remarkable for 8 seconds, the clam windows are interesting too, but it's the overall package that delivers.

Hello Ryan,
It's an image I know well, one that I've seen in person half-a-dozen times and in photographs many times that many, and yet I cannot get tired of it. However, I cannot quite my bearing, is the Uffizi on this side of the bridge on the right bank, or is it on the other side, the left? In a book on Leonardo that I just finished writing for the National Geographic (NGS), the photo editor used world class images of the ancient bridge.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Ryan,
Stormy?! That looks rather pleasant there!
Oh yes, good that you point it out in your note, but those windows are really interesting. How those buildings hang over the water without ever tumbling in. Very nice construction. Nice to see the difference with the film version in the workshop! Thanks for sharing that one with us.
Have a good weekend,

Hi Ryan.
This is simply breathtaking. You have captured such a nice scene here. I really like the colours with the dark river and sky but also the bright lights along the bank. It is also very sharp with great reflections in the water. Personally, I find this a very peaceful picture.
Very well done and thanks alot for sharing this wonderful picture! I might just favorite it!

One can never get tired of looking at Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Especially the really good one. Terrific night shot, Ryan. Every thing about it is perfect. I particularly like how the further part of the river was rippled by the wind one can see the direction of the wind. and the closer part is completely calm and casted a perfect reflection of the sky, buildings and the tower. Love it.

Hi Ryan.
One of the best of this oft-photographed bridge. The smoothness and sharpness are impeccable. Great reflection of that amazing sky. This exposure with the tripod is certainly far superior to the WS version, but that wasn't a bad effort for hand-held.

Hi Ryan,
I couldn't resist and I chose to critique this shot because is one of the best here on TE about this bridge, and because this is "the" bridge of my town!
You say that your favourite detail here are the two windows of the bell tower, but I find that the strong point of this shot are the perfect light management and the firm reflection of the stormy sky in the water.
Bravissimo!
