Photographer’s Note
The Mosel Valley is home to the Riesling grape. Nowhere else in the world can duplicate the finesse and sharply honed structure of the Riesling as these slate-coverd slopes along the Mosel River. The Koewerich family (from the town of the same name!) have created this lovely Auslese from the 2001 vintage. The wine is bursting with the tropical fruit of ripe Riesling with bright edges of refreshing acidity. The wine comes from the village of Klusserath, just south of Piesport, one of the finest areas of the Middle Mosel district. The Kowerich estate uses a label commemorating Ludwig van Beethoven on their bottle.

I like the formation of clouds on the left side, they somehow go along with the grape bush, very interesting! Regards, Djenno

Wonderful vineyard shot, Hans - great "V"-shaped perspective with strong leading lines you get from your low shooting angle. Great color contrast with the bright blue and cloudy sky. Well done.

An angle of view at the level of a tiny animal like a fox
You could precise it's probably the most northern local vineyeards of Europe

Great and different angle you got here - I like the V-shape of the view and the fine blue sky as background - thanks Hans - a fine work indeed.

Splendid perspective Hans and nice symetric view! The selected point of view to frame the vines is excellent, it transforms an ordinary subject (the vines) to an elegant subject at ground level!

Hi Hans!
I really like you POV here. Very well thought out and composed. Excellent colours. I like how the clouds seeme to be syncronized with the lines of grapes.
Riesling wines are one of my favourites, by the way :)
Well done!

Dear Hans,
Great perspective, I really like your idea of creating letter "V" from grape trees and amazingly interesting sky (you can even see a small whirlwind in it :) Green beautifully corresponds with blue. Warm greetings from
