Hi Kath,
Nice place to spend a while, with very attractive trees, framing without sky concentrates attention on the greens.
Have a nice day JY

Good morning Kath,
A famous tree and brought by you in a way we don't see often. I like your pov here were the depth is playing an important role with the layers of trees to the far background. That the big one is more isolated is a bonus, it brings out the beauty of that tree even more. Good exposure on the greens, looks very natural.

Hi Kath,
No big animals this time, but a lovely all green landscape with opening between taller trees conveniently right in front of the window. I think I'd like to see the horizon on the very top of the frame.

Hello Kath,

Hi Kath,
Great green view of the landscape from a nice high POV. The repetitive effect of all the trees is really nice and I like the fact that you didn't include any sky. Good addition of the leaves as a natural frame in the foreground too. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kath
I like the DOF here with the layer of trees in the BG. They form a nice natural pattern. The big Baobab is well placed in this scene.

Kath,
how would we miss the Baobab here? As if there could be some doubts the tree paced itself in a very advantageous distance to the others to give that quite interesting composition of alone and yet in company. Is it so green because of the rain season or the close abundance to water?

Hi Kath.
Good this composition. Did you have some problem with the compression of the photo. Sometimes, when there are so details, I have that problem.
Good picture and beautiful landscape.

A classic shot of a Tanzanian landcape. I like the way youve filled the frame with trees only - very effective. Good green tones, too!

Hi Kath,
One imagines African savanna arid and inhospitable, it is not true when your photograph is seen. Pretty panorama on this whole of trees, I like your framing, well done Kath.

Hi Kath. I've just been browsing your Tanzania photos. Even though this one is one of your few shots without any animals (although that might be one below the baobab tree) or human presence in it, I like it a lot because it provides a perspective on this part of the world that we don't see so much in posts from Tanzania. I am surprised to see quite so many trees, as the plains here are usually more open, and I like the way you have composed this below the horizon to give the impression that the trees go on forever. As others have mentioned, the baobab tree is perfectly positioned in this shot and your POB provides good balance overall. Cheers . . . David

Hello Kath,
The presence of this baobab in your setting gives a great graphical and naturalistic interest. It is a really special and attractive tree, and you have caught it in this good composition, very rich in vegetation and with a few green magnificent tones.
You have had a good idea on not having included the sky in the picture, it allows us to centre us on the beauty of this landscape.
A nice work.
Best wishes,
Josep

Hi, Kath. The trees on both sides of the picture close it very well and help us to focus on the main subject. The different tones of green are very nice and the trees are so numerous I get te impression there is no end to the forest. This also gives a very good depth to the image. A very relaxing picture.

Hi Kath,
Lovely textures here created by the trees. But what I find most interesting of this photo is the way you've captured the different green gradient ... awesome. Well captured and presented ... the repeating patterns of the trees also looks visually appealing. Well done! tfs

i like very much this green landscape with trees occupying it up to the infinite it seems. Depth is excellent.
Hi Kath,
Your safari series should be used as a model of how to convey to viewers the land, people, and the wildlife of a region. You have done a great job of mixing it up with wide angle and telephoto shots of a variety of subject matter. This gives me a feeling of "being there". It was nice to take this beautiful and informative photo from the comfort of your balcony also. I would have had a gin and tonic in one hand and my camera in the other while I would have been "roughing" it from this lodge. Excellent work!

Hi Kath. These are very distinctive trees and the repetition of them makes a lovely pattern. The two lighter coloured trees make great natural framing. Well composed and thanks for sharing.

Hi Kath,
Ah! So you also shot landscapes without animals on that trip! :-)
I like the way the baobab detach itself from the rst of the trees. It's a beautiful photo indeed. No need to mention the clarity and sharpness, great as usual in your posts. I think that even the slight haze on the distance is good, as it makes our eyes concentrate on the FG.
Regards, José.

Hi Kath,
Your excellent research really paid off on this splendid trip, I'm guessing that in the dry season it looks a lot like places I've seen in Mexico during dry season, an endless tangle of dry branches.
More than anything your splendid trip has taughht me about the importance of research in travel.
