The unique value of Tallinn’s Old Town lies first and foremost in the well-preserved completeness of its medieval milieu and structure, which has been lost in most of the capitals of northern Europe. The Old Town of Tallinn has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

Hello Imre,
Wouah,what a fantastic composition !
I am si impressed by the quality of your image and the way you built it. Plus the post processing very nicely done, this nearly b&w with some soft red touch is really good.
Congratulations for this great image.
Have a nice day.
Best regards, Christian

Hello Imre!

Congratulations for your photo, It's simply fantastic! It's like if the old town evolves the picture. The colours are perfect, the composition with the little girl also perfect. Good Job! Pictures like this make my day!

Greetings,

Mariano

It is a wonderful picture. All is good, the composition, the colours, the sharpness. And the girl, she is the main factor in here. I love her expression. Well done.
Antonio

Hello Imre,

The eyes of the child are very intense. I like this composition with the child creating an interestin contrast to the old town. Very effective black and white rendering, sharpness and overall composition. Nice work Imre.

Roberto

Wonderful composition Imre - I so much agree word for word with what Christian said at the beginning I would only repeat it - just to add that the innocent look of the child's face is priceless.

best wishes Kev

Hi Imre,
Timeless indeed. I like the subtle rosy tones on this B&W image. Narrow and steep alley of the old town, dramatic clouds. And the kid you wouldn't expect to find this time and age. Was this arranged? Looks great nevertheless.

Hi Imre,
Wow, this is something complete different from your hand. This is high class material in light and composition. What you did in the pp is extremely good, i have never seen something from you like this before...did you had a workshop CS3? ;-)
The eys of the child, the way she holds the book, but also the street with enormous depth is excellent. Very good work..!!!
Regards, Henk

Hi Imre,

Those clouds feel like being painted and the girl to the left feels a bit staged, but there is a reason you added this to the category 'artwork' and as such I should be looking at it! It is a combination of a city view with a portrait in horizontal layout and that works well for me. The clouds are just outstanding, but they do look a bit odd with the over-exposed part of the house next to it...
Next to that, wonderful. You have to keep looking at it. And you start to see things in it all the times. Lots of layers to this one. And I was wondering, did you use a fill flash on the little girl? Nice.

Greetings,
Dennis

Hi Imre,
fantastic composition and beautiful desaturated colours. The girl is intruiging,. looking straight in the lens with her book so tightly holden.

Was this some kind of historical event? There must have been a reason for the child's dirty face. It is excellent work with a combination of portrait and landscape. The PP work you have done is incredible. Well done

Hi Imre,
The depiction of the child's expression is superb, who stood out in soft light as well as use a reflector panel.
The composition which medieval alley is widely taken also has made this photograph successful further.

Hello Imre,

After your nice colorful style this picture is different. Do you start a new book? Anyway this is an extremely powerful composition wiht the undersaturated colors and the unique composition with the little girl on the left and the empty street with strong graphical lines on the opposite side.

CONGRATULATOIN!

Miklós

Hello Imre,

I am no fan of black and white but this picture is very well through the old city to showing, this suit excellent by each other.
Also this little girl with hat and book, make this picture very attractive.
Thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
John.

Hi Imre,
this is very nice portrait, little bit strange, she looks to be little bit scared, her face is like the sky above, like before a storm :)
Good one
Vero

Hello Imre, which happy meeting you made, moreover you had a super sky there this day it tears with these clouds, that all the more gives consistency which has first sight it is the large cloud which draws the attention, but it is nevertheless the richness of foreground with a successful portrait of this small girl to the sharp glance, this one is detached ideally from the background, I undoubtedly like much the book symbolic system between the hands of the child, excellent realization with superb textures quite visible in the noir&blanc, the old town of Tallinn out of spring of as much better, sincerely

Hello Imre

Timeless zone...timeless composition.
A painting,an atmosphere of the early years...or I may say...back to the basics.
She...it`s my favourite, the way she looks to the camera, the way she hold the book, dirty little hands, dirty cute face...I love it.

At the first sight...looks like was built(and I think it is)...using your ideas,the way you compose it...of how to has to look,but I don`t care...because it`s original,it`s great,it`s beautiful,it`s so well done.
Excellent job!.

My kind regards

Hello Imre,
this one stands out, at least in the last page of your gallery. Timeless work, full of feeling and poetry, superb composition, stunning little girl staring at you. Cinema-like, a bit like a stage. The PP work is very fine-tuned for a great result. My compliments.

TFS, Best regards
Michèle

I am sorry to tell you, that this photo is not 'real'

Theres no 'real' composition that everyone is so happy about.. :(

This photo has been photoshopped together from two or more different photos.

Its a fine and beatiful picture, but sadly its been shopped together.

Want proof? see: http://tarvo.nabakaru.eu/pentax/DSC_1980.jpg

I would not comment this picture at all but behaviour of this author is really arrogant.

This picture, by Imre Klaasen, won a Grand Prix prize from a local photocontest. Shortly after questions arized if the picture is actually 'real' . The prize is trip to Africa.

Imre's comments were arrogant and beside the point - saying that the one who asked those questions is a thief and has robbed the picture from him, etc etc. But no comments about that this picture is glued together.

In photocontest rules, there was a requirement that photos can be digitally altered within a good taste (direct translation), meaning - altering contrast curves brightness, etc.
