Hi Renier,
you captured a great element of human life here. And that only by holding the camera in your hand or why is the little boy hurrying away? ;-)
The curve of the catwalk has a similar direction as the clouds in the sky and for sure the beach and water line. This adds a lot of dynamic (in addition to the running boy). And very lovely water colour.

This one is stunning and clever to capture and placed the portbridge on the corner left and it creates a nice effect to the picture. You have lovely color, Renier, and a strong composition with the angles made by the horizon and the boardwalk leading the eye into the composition. the little guy running into the picture adds the composition and give a sense of movement to a very tranquil scene. ( I just got back from Oz but didn't make it to NZ this time. It's on my schedule for next trip) Regards kevin

They must also have had photographers in mind as the boardwalk makes a perfect lead-in line :D You have exposed the image well in the strong light. The timing is good to get the little chap running along. A slight crop from the top would take away the 50/50 split, but then we wouldn't see so much of the gorgeous sky. Well done

Hi Renier.
Terrific shot, captured at just the right moment and with a superb point of view. I wonder what he's running after.
The exposure is superb, stopping his action sharply and also avoiding over-exposure, which would be difficult with all that white under such a bright sun. There are some wonderful curves in this shot, in the sky and on land, and the jetty itself. And the colour in the water looks amazing. Really a great shot.

A great perspective along the bridge, with the kid running on it, giving a dynamic impact to the scene. I like to see the different color tonalities of the water and the sky. Only one thing, I might have reduced a bit the contrast, especially for the white bridge.

Perspective, action and dreamy colors, small wonder this one got deserved attention. due to extreme whites you can't play with the levels but you might selectively adjust green and blue to deliver more punch on those colors.

Hi Renier,
Amazing POV and colours. The jetty on that position in the image already gives a great sense of dynamism and depth, but the running boy enhances that even more, besides giving a touch of childish joy. I like also the waving flags, which somehow stand out much and the way that our sight is lead into the sea and then smoothly to the right; the jetty is just one of the causes of that, there is also the piece of sand the colour bands of the water and the clouds.

This is a great post, and fully deserving of it's popularity. The aqua/green waters are very enticing. I like the movement provided by this kid running to catch up with the rest.
