Wow, Mark! again I'm stunned by the quality of your composition.

Your shooting is so very close to the action that it really feels like we are part of it!

I see you're getting the master of "centric comp". I mean you've got your particular way of applying the rule of third...it woud be a rule of three main elements but where the main action is in the center, from which strong lines of perspectives start to design the journey of our eyes.

Two special mentions:
1/ The colors and tones are incredible.
2/ The streched black dog in the foreground =? timing is perfect!

Congratulations for your work on Cuba people and daily life => you're adding real flavor to the postcard image that we usually see elsewhere.

Not only the sunset is gorgeous here...he just reminded me of the Cuban volleyball team that was proclaimed the 'most handsome' on some Olympic Games, as far as I remember...and I agree 100%!!

Mark,
Love the mood you captured here. Magical time of the day. The image showing the local scene of everyday life for the people in Cuba. The backdrop provide just enough essense of the location and focus on the fisherman depicting part of their life. Perhaps just for fun, or actually as a source for food. I don't know how life has changed there. Was it as bad as it use to be? I was considering a trip to Cuba. Is it worth it? As for the photo, technically all is fine and good composition. Thanks

Hi Mark!
Very strong composition, like that you have chosen to take this picture form very low level. The first fishing rod to the left brings action and the other two to the right brings peace! The boy and the dog in the background are also photographed at the right moment. Very nice light and color!
