Photographer’s Note

This was taken on the way to Yumesamdong, a picturesque place in the Himalayan foothills. I liked the formation of the clouds here and the trees lining the mountains. This was taken from a moving car, hence the low f-stop.

I should be making plans to visit northern India with such attractive post from you to lure the interest. Great scenic landscape of mountains and clouds in high altitude for trekking. Will be cooler temperature here? How you spent nights in places like these, camping?

I like a lot how the landscape "builds up" ir layers - the trees, the mountains, the clouds and the patch of clear blue sky together create a nice uplifting feeling. beautiful earth colours and textures, especially the canopy. excellent work, and impeccable quality despite the moving car :)

I would never have guessed this was taken from a moving car! Nicely done, and great DOF even with the low f-stop. Really good mix of colors, and the clouds are positioned just right.

Hi Shaeri, you are showing us a new side to the Himalalyans we don't often see. Normally when I think of these mountains I think of very high rock, with ice and snow caps. Showing us the foothills like this we see some of the life there as well. Good shot for a drive by. You were shooting fast enough so there is no blur, everything is sharp, and your colour is great.

Hi Shaeri, very nice photo. I like how the clouds are covering the top of the mountains. nice composition. Very good for being on a moving car. The only thing for me would be to lighten up a little bit the trees.

A great view of the mountainous landscape with a nice contrast between the clouds and the forest and mountain in the bottom of the photo. This forest looks really nice in the foreground with a lovely variety of natural green and brownish colours and a pleasant light. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing that you took this from a moving car. The wide aperture doesn't seem to have affected the depth, at least at this size. The peak on the right has caught some good light and an air of drama is present because of the low clouds. Well done

Dear Shaeri, are you originally from the mountains (in W Bengal I guess), you seem to understand their mood so well... Again a lovely photo, I like the impressive clouds and also the lush vegetation in the FG (but regret a bit that you did not lighten up slightly the lower right side - or maybe is it intentionally ?)

I would be very proud of it even if I had spent hours carrying a tripod looking for the perfect POV. It's amazing how you could catch it from a moving car. The view is gorgeous and the game of light and shadows and the clouds partially covering the peaks makes the image even more catchy.

a great moment with a dramatic impression provided by this magnificent clouds that almost take the whole image. The f/3.5 gave a somewhat soft impression, but still in the range of being OK.
