Of all the things I associate with Colorado, the view up by the hanging lake is not one of them. To me this looks like a place on a paradise island or at least much closer to the Equator. It's a relatively short but steep hike up to this lake. My father (71 at the time) tore up the trail and had to wait for me on more than one occasion. I live at high elevation, he at sea level. I was not in really good shape, but I think my father was born in great shape as he still is more active than most are even in their 20's.

Indeed exotic, I loved the colors

Hi Mathias,

You are absolutely right, I wouldn't have associated this picture with Colorado. On my last trip there, I passed a sign for Hanging Lake but unfortunately didn't know how beautiful it was. Otherwise I would have gone there for sure.
Thanks for sharing this great shot with its wonderful colours. I'll make sure to visit this location on my next trip!

At first, I thught this was from Plitvice in Croatia. I had no idea there were areas of Colorado which looked like his. Beautiful place, beautifully shot.
