[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Little girl waiting for her mother. Like most of the women here, she has some thanakha on her face, a local make-up made from a special sort of wood. We like her expression and color combination (yellow: face and wall, pink: shoes and bags and texture: dress and wall).
This picture depicts also the extremly difficult life conditions in this country ruled by an inexcusable dictatorship.

I have seen the same type of things when I was in Burma last year but I choose to publish much less stressing pictures in my gallery. Now, I may go back to my archives and dig out some pictures and show up the other side of Burma, specially now after the cyclone.
Your photo is beautiful and very representative of a country suffering from extremely bad management.

Hi Steph and Nico
Thank you for sharing this photo of a little girl who probably won't have any easy life - her expression says a lot. It is a very colourful composition with a lot happening. It could have been a little sharpener but you have done well. Marlene
