Hi Pascal,
Sunsets sure are wonderful to behold. What can be hard though is to transfer that experience to a meaningful 2-dimensional image. You were thinking along the right lines by trying to include the lighthouse on the horizon but it simply isn't strong enough to carry the picture. As it stands this feels more like an "f/8 and being there" type sunset image. There just isn't enough interest factor for my tastes. I mean this only as respectful and constructive criticism.
Cheers!
Bob G.
Hi Pascal,
Some wonderful colours from the sky and the exposure is about as correct as it's going to get facing straight into the sun, but what the picture lacks is something in the foreground or large on the horizon to provide an additional point of interest/ focus. It's a little bland to look at because of this, but it's still better than any sunset shot I've ever taken, so well done!
Regards, and thanks for sharing
Lee
great sun, amazing, a ND 2 filter over the sky with a boat or something in the water would set this picture off
