Photographer’s Note

This Long Billed Corella was busying itself damaging the wiring on some lighting at a playing field at Albion Park Rail, when I disturbed it. They seem to be very destructive and their aerial acrobatics makes them a challenge to photograph always.

Hello Mark,

Threads are very dangerous for birds, every week find we here under the high tension threads a lot doves come from contests, dead or injured.
You took a very good picture during the fly, with the wings nice in a V form.

Hi Mark, a challenge for sure, but one that you managed well. I particularly like the positioning and angle of the bird, giving us a good idea of how irregularly they fly. cheers, Steve

Really a great capture! I've never seen birds like this. I think that we have not in Italy.
