Photographer’s Note

The end of the day, when the heat is off, temperature is mild and the crowd is away, is the best time to enjoy the beach.
I have taken this picture at Vulcano, Eolian Islands, Sicily.
Being a Volcanic island, the sand is black.

hello Stefano,
I've never actually seen black sand on a beach, so for me this shot is definitely interesting. I like a lot how you have composed it with the perfect semi-circle of the clear blue sea to the left creating a nice contrast with the dark sand. the boat and clothes of the people are great colour accents, this is very well seen and presented.

Miiii, direbbero i siciliani, visto che siamo a Vulcano.
Bella idea, i ragazzi in spiaggia sembra stiano aspettando qualcosa, magari proprio la fine della giornata...
Particolari anche i colori.

Bravo a proporre una spiaggia diversa, ripresa nell'ora e nel periodo migliore. Bella la macchia di colore del gommoncino che fa pendant con i bagnanti seduti sull'asciugamano che riprende i colori del mare.

Bella foto Stefano, con bei colori saturi, buona definizione e con uno splendio contrasto tra la sabbia vulcanian e il mare di un azzurro molto delicato.

sea is very stilly. I wish I would lie on the beach and have a rest. I think about my vacation thanks to you at the moment. Your angle is very difference. I wonder ... how did you take photo from this angle? In my opininon, sea had to be more area in this photo.

la spiaggia quasi deserta e l'ottima gestione della luce trasmettono perfettamente quel senso di pace e relax che si provano quando, all'imbrunire, ti fermi a goderti il silenzio e la grandezza del mare.

Like the way you composed the picture, almost half-half. The curve of the beach, the contrast in colours between blue water & black sand & the bright orange/red dress & raft just jump out of the screen. Fine work!
