Photographer’s Note
A view of San Francisco bay with the Alcatraz Island, the picture was taken from a Cable Car going down hill to Fisherman's Wharf, I was standing with the driver and it looks very scary when we reach that point, it seems you are going downhill on a roller coaster, the reason why the picture isn't in perfect focus is because it is very difficult to maintain your balance inside one of this San Francisco's icon.
In my #1 complementary WS you can see the grip-man as they are called who was driving the cable car, he was explaining me the way the system works. He requires great upper body strength needed for the grip and brakes, as well as good hand-eye co-ordination and balance.
In my #2 Complementary WS you are able to appreciate the inclination of the Cable Car, the picture was taken just after I got out of the Cable Car.
Hope you like it.

Hi Emile!!
how many things you were able to show in only one picture!!
I like also the foreground, that make us understand the strong slope.
Well done to capture the boat, it made a line nice to see near the other line of the pier.
What a beautiful city!!

Ah!

Hi Emile
Interesting view on Alcatraz.
I think that you should not make a pp on the sky, the work is visible; it was better to use a grad filter; it's just a suggestion.
Best regards.

Hola amigo Emile,
Josep

Bonsoir, mon ami Emile,

Hola Emile,
I know from where you took this, i made almsot the same shots, but never did something with them. There is a cable car picture who is already standing for at least 6 months in the waiting list but i am not sure if i will ever post it. Every picture i post i must have faith in, still i am not sure about my cable car who is climbing up the hill taken right after this hill were you go down here in your picture.
Read the reply to Didi. It looks like pp but i know for sure it isn't. I know that a clear blue sky is almost impossible in SF, there is always a slight fog over the city.
Pity you live far away, or else we could set up a pp workshop ;-)
Regards, Henk

Hi Emile,
A great photo from San Francisco again! A very nice view on the harbour and the famous Alcatraz Island. The view is nicely framed by the trees and the road is also a nice inclusion. The light is enhancing. Thanks for sharing!

Hola Emile:

This picture here is very spectacular with the yachtport beneath, and the small Alcatraz island middle of the picture.

Hola Emile,
Very well done, You framed the bay perfectly while managinging to convey the thrill of the cable car. Both WS add good detail. The Gripman could almost stand alone as a PP, but the one you posted is so vibrantly alive that it would be difficult to beat.

Some of the San Francisco hills really are scary and yes this does look like a roller coaster ride. Even though the fog was rolling in you were lucky to get such a clear shot of Alcatraz. The trees are doing a good job of framing the image. well done

haha, love the title and the expectation that this moment and POV trasmites, Emile. Indeed, we seem just about to fall into the abyss. Wonderful view framed nicely by the trees on the sides. Doesn't mater the lack of sharpness, when there's such excitment ;-) Very nice complementar images.

Hola Emile,

Cordiales salutations,
Emilius

Hola Emile,
Fantastic point of view from this cable car, it seems to be a very exciting tour. It is a strong inclination, I understand why it is scary. After all, you took a good picture! It is well framed, well composed, with beautiful colours.
Bravo!
