Photographer’s Note
This is a view down the rails (street) toward the station. Central Station is the hub of Amsterdam - a meeting point for some and a departure point for many. Trams, trains, buses and subways make for a true hive of activity at Stationsplein 1, located on the South bank of the IJ. Buy your tickets for the sneltrein, stoptrein or TGV in and around Holland and other major European cities at one of the NS (National Spoorwagen) counters or machines.
Central Station is the perfect vantage point from which to catch a ferry connecting the city to Amsterdam Noord, across the IJ. Ferries are free and you can board one just behind the station. Furthermore, all the top attractions and main districts are within easy reach whether by foot or tram, the cheapest ways of getting around Amsterdam.

Hola:

Ah! That's a present for me: I was there in my youth and I mantain beautiful memories...
Good central POV, so it seems to be driving a car. A honest document of a fine City.
Thank you,

Hello Asa,
I like photo cettte describing without concession an image of life in full traffic. The image is authentic, for framing and the colors. A very good photograph to discover Amsterdam while remaining in its armchair. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hi Asa,
This is what I'd call the tram driver's pov ! Luminous image ending on the nice station building, looks a bit oversharpen though. This succession of blue street elements on the left is nice.
Have a nice sunday JY

Asa, I started to writhe that it was too centered but I now think that the balustrades on the left, compressed as they are, make the straight on approach work pretty well. Color and detail are perfect for showing us how busy it is there, hope someone is watching behind you...
Great capture.

This is a very nice perspective with the tram lines leading the eye to the beautiful building of the background. The line of the blue street separators is also excellent. Well done.

Hi Asa.
Really good shot of this well known view of Amsterdam station, which I haven't been to for 25 years, alas. You used the tracks and the blue poles and posts to great effect for perspective. Colour and light are very good, no blown highlights and well presented shady area on the right. Perhaps a tad oversharpened, but hardly important.

Andrew

Hi Asa,
Nice composition to show us the impressive railway station in Amsterdam. This perspective created with the rails lead the eye directly on this beautiful building.
I like the fact that you could include some bikes in your composition.

Hi Asa,
good to see the CS like it was, busy but in a normal way. The last two years it has become a real mess due to the construction of the north-south subway line. Hope to see it like this again soon.

Bonjour Asa,
les couleurs bleues de gauche et cet immeuble rouge à l'arrière plan, attirent directement le regard.
Une photo très nette avec des rails qui guident le regard.
Bien à toi.

Hi Asa,
This image is very nice and its colours look great. I like the depth of the image and the beautiful building set as background. The rails do make the image more interesting as it seem that we moving ahead on them. I notice the image mat be a little oversharpened however that is not too bad. Thanks Asa.

Hi Asa,
You took very well advantage of the perspective created by the rails. They lead the eye very nicely towards the beautiful Centraal Station. You had a lovely sunlight here, that brought out the colours very nicely. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Asa,
I like this with the tram lines & cables taking you straight to the architecturally beautiful train station. I now wonder why I always forget to take out my camera to capture such a scene ... well some & only when I had a camera hung around my neck. Anyway wonderful colors, sharpness, and lighting. The busy pedestrian walk on both sides add much to the scene. I hope to go back to Amsterdam with a digital camera. Best Regards. Latiff.

It was a long ago I visited Amsterdam and now some other details help me to familiarize with the local any better. The station an enormous building still keeps the same colour but I do not paid much attention to the both side towers. Regards. Domingos
