Photographer’s Note
Details from the Eiffel Tower
A very dull and rainy day; so the descision was quite easy to convert to b & w. There are lots of shots upward and downward, so I took one of the pillars

Salut, cadre bien sympathique bien qu’un peu sombre.
Une petite faute sur le nom de madame la tour de fer fraçaise !
Eiffel prend deux F.
Merci
Hello, image well sympathetic nerve although a little sinks. A small fault on the name of Madam the French iron tower! Eiffel takes two F Merci

It's a nice view, it's pity the pillar is not exactly in the middle of the photograph... I've made a similar few monthes ago http://yeye2.site.voila.fr/paris/image012.htm

A fine cropped out detail of the lady. I like the hard graphic impact you gave it. Centered composition is a must here.

Hi Knut
Glad to see you with this great symmetrical shot,I like it,in a fine way you cropped it.and trees in bottom give a soft feeling to hard lines of tower, great in B&W,well worked, and composed,Thanks for posting.
Sincerely

Originale cette prise de vue!
L'effet mirroir est parfait... heureusment qu'il y a les arbres au pied pour montrer que ce n'est pas un résultat obtenu par PhotoShop ;-)

B&W has made this photo and proves that you should never put your camera away in poor weather. You have capyured a slight different viewpoint of what must be one of the most photographed objects in the world.

Very nice silhouette Knut,
I like the fact that the tower is black and the symmetry of the two big arches. Keep well -* Izzet
