Leptis Magna is a World Heritage site on the Mediterranean coast of North Africa in the Tripolitania region of Libya. Originally founded by the Phoenicians in the 10th Century BC, it survived the attention of Spartan colonists, became a Punic city and eventually part of the new Roman province of Africa around 23 BC.

The theatre in Lepcis Magna is a typical Augustan age theatre, built in AD 1-2, and subsequently renovated by Caracalla. The scaenae frons (back scene) of the theatre is well preserved.

Che c..o hai avuto...non c'è nessuno!! non mi capita mai.
Molto ben conservato questo teatro romano, ed una bella foto di viaggio. Ho una morosa flippata per i teatri greci e romani e ne ho visti un bel po', questo per la sua posizione (sea front) mi ricorda un po' il teatro romano di Taormina...
La Libia mi manca Luca, e so' che ha molte cose interessanti dal punto di vista culturale, se posti qualche altro scatto mi sà che ti chiederò qualche info ....
PS: dal punto di vista tecnico, la foto è un po' sovraesposta, poi in Libia a giugno un filtro polarizzato ci vorrebbe...la mia Olympus tende a sovraesporre e mi han tirato le orecchie una marea di volte...mi hanno detto di sottoesporre a -0,3 o -0,7 nelle ore centrali della giornata...
