Nice iconic shot. Keep it for archival value. Good angle view, showing two sides of the elevator for a three-D efect.

Hello Karen, very nice shot, the lines on the land lead the eye nicely to the special building. Great POV and frame and very beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
Kostas.

Hello Karen,
So they are still there, but it seems hard to find. Once i saw (in a book) a red one with the letters "Pioneer" on it. I tried to figure it out were it was but never found him....that was 15 years ago and still i don't no.
During my stay in August i will hunt again for some old ones...the wooden versions, not those new things they have today. Will be difficult, but maybe i'm lucky. I like these old elevators, they have something mytical for me, something that belongs to the west.
Very nice work, i like this.
Regards, Henk

Hi Karen,
Nice prairie landmark sort of image but if I didn't know any better, I might think that prairie elevators are short and squatty rather than tall and forboding. Good idea to use the rising land and crop rows to lead into this one. Well seen and TFS. Gerald

Hi Karen,
Nice bit of Greal Plains history with the lovely blue grain elevator blending well against the pastle tones of the pale blue sky.
Nice clarity and sharpness to this pretty image.

Hi Karen, Another well composed and executed shot of this dissapearing rural scene. The sky is a little noisy, but otherwise a fine shot. Cheers, Steve

Hello Karen,
Fascinating these structures which remind you a bit of churches in the middle of fields. A good composition of this one, with the crop lines making good lead-lines. A nice balance of tones and very good clarity.

Bonjour, mon amie Karen,
Cela change des silos modernes à grains, cette vieille grange possède un charme fou !
Cette grange devrait bénéficier d'une protection par le ministère des monuments historiques.
Amitiés.

Hello Karen! They should keep these elevators, they belong to the Prairies, they are a symbol for all those hard working people feeding us with their wonderful products. I like that you included the growing field and how the elevators sticks out behind the trees. I have never really felt the Prairies but I have driven along the Rocky mountains where the Prairies hit the Rockies (from Helena to Calgery) and I thought that this was really beautiful. Nevertheless, I would like to feel the emptyness one day, the flat, just stand on the pedal and drive :) Nice work! Barbara.

Here you have something else we don't see over here. strange shape. You have composed it well off-centre and used the lines of the crops to lead the eye. Well done

The composition is effective, leading the eye to the elevator, which is defined very well. I like the colours and light too.
i's a pity that the tele lens blurred a bit the grass in foreground, but anyway it's not so important.
Greetings,
Donato

It's great to see that someone wanted to preserve the old grain elevators. Nice use of the rule of thirds by placing the elevator off to the left.

Hi Kare, Good balance and colours here. Ideal for TE as we can learn about far-away places. Interesting notes. TFS. Murray.
