[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This doorway and steps in Skopelos town are no longer in use, but still they have been decorated with plants in pots - although the plants chosen are rather aggressive! I admire the way a potential 'eyesore' has, with some care, been turned into something attractive.

Hi Maggie,
signs of dilapidation always attrac my attention and here you have captured the decay of the building very beautifully due to the light and the plants. Wonderful colours!
Great work!
Best regards
Harriet

Excellent shot Maggie. Those cactus were chosen because of their carefree nature, I guess. Nicely seen perspective captured really well in tall frame. Balanced light and contrast making this image interesting to look at. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Maggie
Beautiful staircase and magnificent old door which must not be often opened!
I like this very Mediterranean green.
An attractive subject for a watercolor!
Best regards
Diane

hi Maggie

Very nice capture of this pov. The door and steps must have a long history and the potted plants make this composition much more interesting than otherwise. I like your perception of this shot.

Hello Maggie,

every picture seems to tell a story, the object you caught is a very fine one,the presentation is great, love the colors and the framing as well..

Best regards Bernd

Hello Maggie,

The plants do make the abandonned doorway more attractive but their natural, relatively uncared-for appearance, matches the doorway perfectly.
You have captured the rough textures of the door and the haphazard steps very well.
There is just a hint of well built, manicured steps as a fine contrast!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Maggie, I like your shot for the reasons that you describe in your notes. The worn paintwork and the crumbling steps are very appealing to me.The plants just add to the composition.
Lovely colours.
The bright light is so typical of Greece.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Very good composition with beautiful "Mediteranean" colors. I like very much the door and the total texture of the matterials and the general mood. I also like the little sky....!

Hello Maggie,
one can feel the atmosphere ot the hot Greek summer. The most attractive is for me here the contrast of white and green. Practically in lack of other colours the white enhances the tints of green.
Best whishes
