Seven, lovely princesses, seeking shelter from a storm, took refuge in a cave. An evil spider decided to imprison them, but fortune was close at hand. A handsome prince spotted what happened, heard their cries for help, notched an arrow in his bow, and slew the spider. The Pindaya town symbol is the pin-gu (spider).
Under the golden lintel at the extreme right can be found the many steps leading up to the cave entrance. |

Interesting note, on my visit to Pindaya I did not realise the town was named after the cave. Interesting Pov of the town icon.
