Photographer’s Note
Another shot I took in the first day of summer 2008, at Lake O`Hara. It was warm and sunny...the first day only...but up,at higher elevations,Lake Oesa was totally frozen.
This photo is made up of 5 frames, because the Canon 40D is not a full frame CCD camera...how I miss that...and the focal distance has to be multiplied by 1.6.
It was a difficult picture to take because I had the sun almost at front,so I had to double process each frame separately as a raw file, make it look correct and only then to start stitching them together.
I`m glad that I took all my shots as raw files-as I always do-because if they were jpegs, they were totally screwed up,without any hope to be fixed in Photoshop.

Whaou !!! This is a nice one.
It's almost three dimensional.
Colors are great.
As already said in another post, I am looking forward to be there this summer.

Hi Nelu!
Excellent shot! I can relate to your story about the sun in the front, but you would never know looking at this wonderful photo. Perfect job at creating a panorama. My sigma 10-20 is wider of course then the Canon 17-40, but that Canon lense has an excellent reputation. The full frame issue is one I am aware of too.
This photo for me is perfect in every way. The colors are spot on, as is the exposure, and the framing. Nice work! Cheers,
Steve

Terrific photo! The composition and sharpness are just great! Wonderful colors aswell. I've been looking at your other photos and they're all amazing. These surroundings are a landscape photographers wet dream. I'm definitely going to travel to Canada sometime.
Thank you for sharing all your photos, they are greatly inspiring. :)
